Mohamed Ali Janah is the Chairman of Hotels and Resort Construction Pvt Ltd which operates in Maldives and overseas, with a current project portfolio of over USD300Million. He has 30 years of experience at the executive level of management with exposure to Project Conceptualization, Design, Contract Documentation, Implementation, Requirement/Scope Analysis, Quality Management, Development, Supplies and Logistics. Being a multi-tasker, he is capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously with excellent people and resources management skills.

Mr. Janah is well-travelled in many global destinations including the USA, UK, Italy, Netherlands, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Thailand, India, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, and Turkey where he studied the rudiments of the construction industry in these countries and established links to world famous investors.   In addition, Mr Janah is into real estate where he buys and sells properties, including hotels and resorts.

His vision was to build a dream project in a world famous location outside Maldives.  As Chairman of Hotels and Resort Construction Pvt Ltd, a company that built the largest resort construction project so far in Maldives, he feels that he has achieved his goal.

Mr. Janah, has been actively involved in the Maldives Association of Construction Industry (MACI), a standard bearer of the second largest industry in the Maldives since 2001 and currently he is serving as President.

Mr. Ramesh Sharma studied Public Administration in Tribhuvan University and has a Certificate in Engineering; he achieved his Master in Business Administration in Adamson University in the Philippines.

A regular member of Federation of Contractors’ Association of Nepal (FCAN) and become President of the association for the period of 1998 - 1999.  Presently, he is the advisor to the Executive Committee of FCAN.  He is also one of the regular members of Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Rotary club of Tripureshore.

Mr. Sharma is currently the Managing Director of Sharma & Company Pvt. Ltd. founded in 1966, originally as Proprietorship Firm S&K, was later converted into a Primate Limited Concern in 1980.  The company’s quality of performance has enabled it to be recognized as class “A” construction company by HMG Ministry of Works and Transport Serving, its objectives with great competence, experience and potential, the company is a mixture of more than 200 managerial, technical and administrative employees who help the company to where is it now.

The works completed by the company comprises of big institutional, industrial, banking buildings, hospitals, overhead water, tanks, road, bridges, walkways, drainage and bio – engineering works, also landscaping, river training, power substation, national and international consultants, clients and parties.

The company aim at fulfilling the noble aspirations of the projects conserving the nature, making the best use of its resources and improving the destiny of all who are marching with the organization in attaining the goal of building the future.

In all of his achievements in life, he was awarded of Mahendra Vidya Bhusan for securing the top position in MBA and Prabal Gorakha Dakshin Bahu by His Majesty King Birendra, this award in an order of knighthood of Nepal, one of the highest honors given traditionally by the King for his distinguished contribution to the country.

Mr. Alau Ali studied in several countries before completing his Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and Communication in Western Michigan University, USA.  

His 20 years of involvement in the fields of dynamic business development and adaptation includes several successful business entities with the main focus at Alia group of companies.

Mr. Ali is the Managing Director of Alia Investments Pvt Ltd (AIPL) and the Executive Director of Alia Construction Pvt Ltd (ACPL).  The two companies are the direct off-spring of Alia Group Pvt Ltd and most business operations of Alia are carried out under these two main umbrellas.

Fifty four years on, the companies still believe in valuing the encounters and relationships with the people behind each and every facet of their living and work environments. “Our founders, our staff, our customers, our suppliers, our partners, and critics, each and every one of them add meaning and value to what we offer at ALIA today.”

AlPL is one of the leading establishments that deal with hardware and building material supplies, all kinds of sawn timber, and is the sole distributor for a variety of Yamaha products in their 44 year relationship. The company also invests in various strategic business interests.

Mr. Ali is the Vice President and a founding member of the Maldives Association of Construction Industry (MACI) and is on the IFAWCA Executive Board.  He also currently serves as the Chairman of the Maldives Stock Exchange.

Jayaram Lamichhane is the youngest of five children. He did not get a privilege to go to college because of poor economic condition. However, he did not let his interest in studying die. After completing his School Leaving Certificate degree from a local school in Chitlang, Makwanpur, he decided to teach at Kulekhani to make a living instead of going to college. It was while teaching, he decided to appear privately in Intermediate degrees exams and was very delighted when he got the teaching job as he did not need to worry about his daily expenses, but he was also looking further for ways to make more money. With the path of time, he tried to fit himself in different roles, either merely to make his living, an ambition to earn a huge amount or sheer interest to serve the nation. Whatever he met on the way, he accepts it as a career with sincerity and efforts to make it happen.

He studied Bachelor’s Degree in Humanitarian in Tribhuvan University in Nepal.

He is currently the Managing Director of Swachchhanda Nirman Sewa Pvt. Ltd.

The company is the leading independent company providing a diverse range of services in the construction field and project management support. It was established in 1987. The company was registered as class “A” contractor in 1995 of the Ministry of Physical Planning and Works. Since its establishment, the company is committed to providing high-class construction works and technical management in the construction projects that meet the demand of their clients. With the path of time, he tried to fit himself in different roles, either merely to make his living, an ambition to earn a huge amount or sheer interest to serve the nation. Whatever he met on the way, he accepts it as a career with sincerity and efforts to make it happen.

Years of hard work and determination, he landed in his current position, he didn’t have any concrete plans when he was starting his career and business but he advises the young entrepreneur to think ahead in the future and measure the profitability of the business they want.

Levy V. Espiritu is one of the founders and the current Chairman and CEO of DATEM Incorporated. He served as President of the Philippine Constructors Association (PCA) in 2010 to 2011, and is the incumbent Executive Director of the International Federation of Asian and Western Pacific Contractors’ Associations (IFAWPCA).

His company, DATEM Inc., a quadruple A construction company, was founded in 1984 by a group of professionals, highly trained in construction. The group envisioned a construction company that could give its clients total value-engineered service in terms of quality, time and cost through productive and efficient construction methodologies. Levy and his team pioneered one of the major breakthroughs in the Philippine construction industry when they introduced the precast system in the 90s.

Three decades later, the founders are now leading an organization of trailblazers with over 11,000 personnel, having evolved to become a diversified construction firm building Metro Manila’s remarkable structures and architectural marvels today.

On the strength of over 31 years of construction experience and a reliable track record, The Company has recently diversified its businesses well beyond construction. In 2013, the company has expanded into affordable housing and bulk water and wastewater treatment.

Mr Desmond Hill is the Deputy Head of the International Building Construction Divisions Group and Head of Contract Management Division of the International Civil Engineering Divisions & International Building Construction Divisions Group and is concurrently the Executive General Manager of Penta-Ocean Construction Co Ltd.

He has over 35 years of experience in large scale civil engineering and building projects.

Mr Hill holds a Degree in Civil Engineering from the National University of Singapore.  He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers, Singapore and a Fellow of the Society of Project Managers, Singapore. He is also an Accredited Adjudicator under the Security of Payment Act in Singapore and an Evaluator of the Singapore Mediation Centre.

He sits as Council Member of Singapore Contractors Association Ltd, Singapore Accreditation Council (SAC), Chairman, Council Committee for Management Systems & Product, SAC and Building & Construction Standard Committee, SPRING.

In the international arena his appointments including Treasurer of the ASEAN Constructors Federation (ACF) and Rapporteur of the International Federation of Asian & Western Pacific Contractors’ Associations (IFAWPCA).

His past appointments include as the President of the Singapore Contractors Association Ltd (SCAL), President of the Singapore Squash Rackets Association (SSRA), Secretary General of the International Federation of Western and Asia Pacific Contractors’ Associations (IFAWPCA), Council Member of the National Crime Prevention Council (NCPC), Council Member of the Singapore Business Federation (SBF), Singapore Business Federation, SME Committee on Finance and Cost of Doing Business, Council Member of the Advisory Council on Community Relations in Defence (ACCORD), Water Network Panel of the Public Utilities Board and Chairman, Technical Committee on Construction Management, SPRING.
